CHARGING FORWARD: Junee front rower Patrick Sagigi has had a big impact for the Diesels so far this season and will need to be on the top of his game taking on Temora tomorrow.

Group Nine

PREPARING for a heavyweightencounter up front, Junee has bolstered its forward pack ahead of tomorrow’s game with Temora.

Taking on big men Michael Henderson and Scott Matthews, the Diesels have added some more muscle of their own.

Moses Manu has come back into the front row after dominating out wide recently for Junee.

Joining Patrick Sagigi in the front row, interim coach Terry Sloan thought the extra bulk was exactly what was needed to try and conquer the Dragons.

“We put (Manu) back in the forwards as we just need to go forward with Temora having Hendo and Scotty Matthews up front,” Sloan said.

“We need to be able to throw a bit of firepower back at them and we need to match them up front so we are going with our two big blokes.

“If they can nullify each other hopefully we can do something out in the backs.”

In his first year at the club, Sagigi has been the driving force for the Diesels.

At times struggling to manage a knee injury which again flared up against the Kangaroos, Sloan couldn’t be more impressed with the former Corrimal prop.

“He just gives us that bit of size up front and makes the yards for us,” Sloan said.

“He’s going good and him and Moses are just the two big blokes we needed.

“Patty has got better as the year has gone on and Moses has been great all year and have been two really good signings.”

In another boost for the club, the Diesels will welcome back halfback Daniel Foley.

After making the switch from fullback to the playmakers role, Foley was starting to have a big impact before being sidelined for the last month with a hamstring injury.

The week off has done wonders for Junee on the injury front, but Sagigi and Simon Wilson will still need to come through a last minute fitness test before taking their places.

Sloan is confident both will be fit to play as the club as they look to overturn the 34-10 defeat suffered at the hands of the Dragons in round one.
